Are catch and release competition on saturday was a great success in freezing cold conditions. Some of mallard was covered in cat ice which narrowed down the amount of water the guys could fish.
We started and 9am for a total of 3 hours fishing, moving one swim every 45mins. It soon became aparant that the majority of the fish were held up in one particular swim and who every managed to make the most of there 45 minutes would win the match.
With a total of 36 fish banked and a further 15 lost, it went right down to the wire with the winning fish caught 2 minutes from the end.
