Just a quick update on the trout fishing on jenny wren and sklark this week
with the water temperature still quite high the fishing has been challanging over the past couple of week, although with a large influx of water from mallard. The fish seem to be on the move, with Fred Reilly taking full advantage taking 2 cracking rainbows of 9lb 8oz and 5lb respectively. The fish fell to olive and black buzzers, tried by marylin nott who supplies the fishery with all of its flies.
Skylark has been producing well over the last couple of weeks, with some lovely rainbow coming out to just under 2lb. Various flies on sinking lines seem to be the going method.
look forward to seeing you soon
