Jenny Wren has been very popular of late with plenty of trout gracing the banks to those anglers matching the hatch. There have been some stunning catches on the dry fly last week with 8 fish gracing the bank on a black ant imitation fished near the reed beds on the island.
There have been a large mix of rainbows, blues and browns coming out, mainly in the mornings and late evenings. Black, olive, green, orange and blood work buzzers have proved successful last week fished New Zealand style, tied off the shank of the dry fly.
The best fish of last week was a 7lb stunning rainbow and a 4lb 9oz Blue
look forward to seeing you soon
