Martins lake has been producing some quality carp over the past week despite the weather taking a turn for the worse. Commons and Mirrors between 5 - 14lbs have fallen to simple feeder tactics fished in conjunction with sweet corn hook baits.
There are still plenty of good silver fish being taken on the waggler, mainly coming out close to the island lillies whilst spraying hemp seed over the top of meat and corn hook baits.
I did manage to have a couple of hours floater fishing this week, using my 3-4 weight fly rod and managed to bag a couple of nice fish including a mirror of 8lb 11oz.
look forward to seeing you soon
